Before you ship:
Check your entire box for Class 9 Lithium-ion and lithium-metal battery hazmat markings, including UN3091, UN3171, UN3480, UN3481 and UN3556. Look for printed markings and stickers. [INSERT VISUAL]
Completely remove all hazmat stickers. Peel off the entire sticker so no part of the marking remains visible.
Completely cover all printed hazmat markings. A blank thermal label works well, or you can use a piece of paper you can't see through and secure it with packing tape. Make sure the entire marking is covered.
Caution: No part of a hazmat marking can remain visible. Simply crossing out or coloring over a marking with a marker isn't enough, nor is peeling off only part of a hazmat sticker. Carrier scanners may detect even a partially visible marking and stop your shipment.
