UPS SurePost®, sometimes also referred to as UPS® Ground Saver, is a shipping option that uses the ground network with a 1-2 day slower delivery commitment than UPS® Ground shipping. It is often cheaper than ground shipping and can be a good option for a later delivery date. UPS SurePost® service is limited to small, low-value, non-urgent packages going to residential addresses within the contiguous US. As with other carrier services, you have the option to either schedule a UPS pickup or drop off your package at a UPS location to get it underway.
You will see the option to ship via UPS SurePost® for Bikeflights shipments that meet the following criteria:
- Shipment contains only one package.
- Length (longest side) is at least 6 inches (15 cm), height (second longest side) is at least 4 inches (10 cm), and width (remaining side) is at least 1 inch (3 cm).
- Package volume is less than 1,728 cubic inches (28,317 cubic cm) where Volume = Length x Width x Height. (For example, a package that is 12 x 12 x 12 inches has a volume of 1,728 cubic inches).
- Package length (longest side) does not exceed 60 inches (152 cm).
- Package weight is up to 70 lb (32 kg). Note: You will get the best rates for packages under 9 lb (4 kg).
- Premium Protection is under $500 (no signature required).
- Shipment is within the contiguous United States (48 states, excluding Alaska and Hawaii).
- Delivery address is residential.
Due to its non-urgent nature, this service is NOT available for time-sensitive Bikeflights shipments such as those booked for events and vacations.
