We know it can seem counterintuitive to remove a hazmat marking, especially if you're putting an e-bike back into the same box it originally came in or into another e-bike box.

However, e-bikes can be shipped under a special exemption for battery-powered mobility equipment when shipped via parcel service, which is the type of shipping you book through Bikeflights. Because these shipments are handled differently from the freight shipment that may have originally brought your e-bike to a shop or other destination, the package must not display hazmat markings that don't apply to the Bikeflights shipment.

Remember, you must also follow these e-bike packing steps when shipping with Bikeflights. 

And if your bike is over 70 pounds, you must apply a heavy package sticker like the one below. This helps alert carrier drivers, staff and others that special care should be taken for safe handling of your e-bike shipment.
