Before you book
Make sure someone will be available to receive and hold your package at your AirBnB, VRBO or other rental, especially if a signature is required. Remember that if you select $500 or more of Premium Protection when booking, a signature will be required upon delivery.
You may also want to consider shipping to or from a bike shop. Use our Bike Shop Finder to find nearby bike shops, especially if you’d like help with assembly, tune-up or packing services.
Booking your shipment
First, find out the name of the owner or resident associated with your AirBnB, VRBO or other rental property address. You will need to enter their name as the “ship to” or “ship from” first and last name fields when you book because UPS will not otherwise deliver your package to you at an address that is not associated with you.
Entering recipient and shipper information
When shipping to an AirBnB, VRBO or rental
Enter the First Name and Last Name of the person associated with that address as the “ship to” recipient’s name when you book.
Correctly enter the address, including any suite, unit or apartment numbers.
In the Attn/RA (Optional) field, Enter: Hold for [YOUR FIRST AND LAST NAMES].
Example: If the package is ultimately going to Jane Smith at an AirBNB rental owned by Paul Miller, enter:
First Name: Paul
Last Name: Miller
Attn/RA (Optional): Hold for Jane Smith
When shipping from an AirBnB, VRBO or rental
Enter the First Name and Last Name of the person associated with that address as the “ship from” name when you book.
Example: If the package is ultimately coming from Jane Smith at an AirBNB rental owned by Paul Miller, enter:
First Name: Paul
Last Name: Miller
Attn/RA (Optional): Jane Smith
Contact information
Enter your phone number, not the phone number of the person associated with the property. This makes it easier for the owner or resident to contact you if needed before your package ships or after it arrives.
After you book
Communicate with the person associated with the property about what to expect and when. It's your responsibility to make sure someone is available to sign for your package if a signature is required upon delivery. It's also your responsibility to print and apply your return shipping label and to ensure your package is available for pickup.
